Our Process

 
There is nothing mass made about the way we develop our recipes. Our meals are made in trusted kitchens with partners including Tuffy’s in Perham, Minnesota and Performance Pet in Mitchell, South Dakota.

There’s a reason our recipes contain foods from around the world. Because the best ingredients aren’t always in our backyard. Take Kangaroo, which is only indigenous to Australia. Not only is it extremely rich in nutrients, it has one of the lowest environmental impacts of any animal protein in the world. So not only is it good for your pet’s health, it’s good for our planet’s health.

We take the same care when selecting all our ingredients from trusted Farmers and Fishermen. Our Trout, Salmon and Whitefish are sourced from the waters of the American Northwest, our Turkey is raised in the Midwest, and our Duck is farm-raised in Western France.

In addition, everything we make is free from commonly used binding agents that are high in simple carbohydrates and starches. Instead we only use low glycemic carbohydrates such as Chickpeas, which also provide extra protein and valuable fiber.
